But fast forward 25 years, and I found myself in a state of chaos. After two and a half decades of working a 9-5, I was "dismissed without cause" from my corporate job, forcing me to reassess my future. As a single mom, with a brand new house to pay for, the situation was far from ideal.

Initially, like many women in my position, I searched for new opportunities, trying to figure out my next step. But instead of taking the easy route, I decided to go full rebel and started cleaning houses to devote my time to my daughter.

After 14 years of donning rubber gloves and scrubbing grime, I was done. I knew I wanted more from my life. With over 25 years of experience in IT and business, I knew I had the skills to make something of myself in the virtual world. But finding my footing wasn't easy.

I was inundated with 'millennial business gurus' who couldn't relate to my generation. They offered endless advice, but none of it resonated with me. Everywhere I looked, I was urged to sign up for one online course after another.

I tried my hand at another online business, but it was a massive flop. I was ready to give up when I stumbled upon a Gen-X mom on social media talking about how easy it was to make five figures a month as an affiliate marketer. Finally, someone who understood me! So I did my research and completed a 15-day course.

Now, I'm on my way to becoming a financially free woman! My business is thriving, and I'm dreaming again about living a life of freedom.
